Sebastian Potion 9 - 150ml Reviews
I was a bit apprehensive when I squeezed the product out of the tube and it turned out to be bright orange and sticky. However once I rubbed it into my hair (fine and slightly wavy, a bit on the dry side) it worked wonders. It just added a bit of volume and made my hair look so moisturized and healthy I've had several people ask me what I did to my hair recently. Packaging isn't great; I have to peel of product residue from the bottle occasionally because the pump is kind of weird, but overall it's a really good product.
I love Sebastian's shampoo and conditioners (I mostly use Penetraitt and Hydre) - they are amazing and leave your hair nice and soft, My hair is really long, so I am always looking out for products to leave in the lengths that are a little frizzy. I think that 'potion 9' doesn't quite live up to the other products. I have used 2 pumps of the orange gel a few times after washing and conditioning on towel-dried hair, combed though and styled as usual. It did tame the frizz a little though not very much and I feel that I need quite a lot of it though I liked that it isn't a sticky formula as many other leave-in products (though the colour is a little strange). It might be very effective for some, but it didn't make a big enough difference to me. I think I will just stick to the Penetraitt series, which I can highly recommend for dry hair.
This product was recommended to me by my hairdresser. I have very long hair that I colour and highlight every 8 weeks and she said she uses the product herself and it would keep my hair moisturized. The product is orange in colour with a cream/gel consistency and smells quite nice. I use the product on wet hair but can be used on dry hair and you only need 1-2 pumps. I haven't noticed any difference in my hair and I have gone through 2 bottles as I thought it may work eventually but still nothing. I also found that you need to comb through your hair after you have dried it or after it has dried when you have applied it to dry hair as the product tends to stick and clump your hair together. It didn’t personally work for me, but It works well on my hairdresser’s hair who has colour treated hair.
