Thierry Mugler's Angel is one of those iconic scents which seems to be a bit like Marmite - people either seem to love it or hate it. It's a very strongly gourmand scent, which smells like chocolate from the outset, to me, but the dry-down fades to a sweet, spicy vanilla which can quickly turn nauseating as the strength of the smell, and the sillage is so strong that it wafts around you like a foody cloud. It's definitely not a scent for the faint-hearted, and it can be a little too foody at times, but the bottle is lovely and classy, and the scent is as strong as the day is long - it's a really good quality, full-bodied youthful fragrance.
